Welcome to My Backyard!

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated with nature. Bugs don’t frighten me or “squick” me out. I’ve taken apart pinecones to find the seeds, grown a pineapple, raised caterpillars, and taken up birding.

I’d like to share it all with you. I hope you’ll come with me as I share my observations of the world outside my window — the new bugs I discover, gardening tips, pictures of the flora and fauna and more.

Share my excitement as we hatch a butterfly, or the disappointment at the unexpected loss of a caterpillar. The thrill of the first fruits on the vine, and saying goodbye as summer passes.

I hope you enjoy your stay. And I hope you’ll share your excitment, discoveries, thrills and disappointments as well.
